Main project objectives
- Finalize the IETF standard
- Move email providers to action
- Push email routing tools that still don’t integrate expiration dates
- Generate visibility
Projects for the Next 3 Months
- Finalize feature request for opensource email clients and propose it to each of them (Thunderbird, Zimbra, RoundCube, Gnome Evolution, MailSpring, Kmail…)
- Publish a standard recommendation on implementing expiration dates in ESPs (API, SMTP, UI)
- Publish experience feedback (ESPs, Advertisers)
- Find a 3rd supporter
- Initiate discussion on legal framework with a legal expert from advertiser side and another from messaging side
Other Development and Improvement Areas
- Achieve better monitoring and responsiveness in exchanges with various stakeholders
- Expand beyond France’s borders
